Store Closing SALE

Yes sadly it's true...... Our retail store will be closing at the end of April. To thank you all for supporting our business over the last 7 years we are offering huge discounts store wide ( with the exception of consignment items and artwork) from now until the 27th of April. In the time we've had the store Mum and I have met some truly lovely people and made some great friends. We will miss chatting to you all terribly, but we both agree that for now family must come first. As I settle into being a new Mum and my Mum becomes a Grandmother for the first time, we need to take a step back from full time shop front retail.  So for now, after taking a decent break, I intend to create an online version of the store. Until that is up and running we will continue with the blog ( ahem..... Yes I shall actually attempt to write reasonably regular blogs unlike last years hiatus!) this is where we will feature any new products or services for the time being. So please check on us from time to time.  You can also email me your contact details [info@interno.com.au] if you'd prefer us to notify you when the website is up or if we have any new adventures we think you'd like to know about.

Mothers Day gift ideas....

As we unpack a new lot of goodies for the store, I am reminded that Mothers Day is fast approaching, so have used this as inspiration for the new window.......(advance apology for the side on shot, it's a bit of a grey day today and the windows cast too much reflection to do an outside-in kinda shot....)
So its all pretty pink and rather girly. Roses, tulips, pressed metal photo frames and pink frangipani hand wash, sit on top of an oak cabriolet leg side table. There are also swing top condiment bottles with blackboard tags masquerading as vases....

And pretty pastel bird paperclips for the stationary-a-holic........these come as a set of 8 assorted colours with a length of the hanging string pictured.

Speaking of stationary-a-holics (who me?!) ....... we have the ever popular Nest Notepads back in stock along with sticky tape men and string dispensers...
For a great present for the keen fisherperson in your life... these fish pens are hard to resist, they are nice to hold and write with (as well as look at!)

The last of the new stationary items in store is this super cute desk accessory holder... with scissor ears and paperclip carrot tops it's great for kids and big kids alike.

Back on the home front, we have some fabulous, textured jute rugs and door mats.

The two door mats in the foreground can be ordered as full size floor rugs. They are fade resistant being specially designed for outdoor entertaining areas (but undercover) but we think they'd be great for any high traffic area.

Our newest furniture arrival is this industrial style storage cabinet (there are actually 11 equal sized draws even though only 10 are numbered?!?) so fabulous for a study, a sewing/project room, or anywhere that bits and pieces gather and could do with a proper home. It would also make an interesting bedside or sofa table.... The wire basket sitting on top is a great mail sorter or in my case card holder....
More new things set to arrive this week, so will post again soon.

Julia.

Firstly let me apologise for my shameful lack of posts since Christmas. (insert embarrassed sigh and sheepish grin)  apart from the fact that I am still in denial that Easter is nearly upon us I really have no excuse for not posting for so long... except being busy with the following:
A)  the shop
B)  a Wedding (still waiting on official photos )
C)  styling a Middleton home for sale (view under the Styling Projects on the right)
D) styling a Victor Harbor home for an Auction campaign (view under the Styling Projects on the right)

Back in the shop, quite a few bleached and beachy items appeared in the store over the summer....
The tripod lamp can be a table lamp (shown) or extended to be a floor lamp (nifty!)
The clock is also on a tripod base and has two clock faces so you could set it to reflect two different time zones...it's a bit quirky, definitely a talking piece and very very useful (especially if like me you often forget to switch your clocks between daylight saving and non-daylight saving time...you could set one side to each and just keep alternating! )

Who doesn't like noughts and crosses? Great game for adults and kids alike, great coffee table piece or just great gift for someone who has everything.

Gorgeous green ceramic jug with dragonfly detail, we also have them with Elephant relief too. Both are popular. So to are the tea mugs (for the non francophiles amongst us THE is actually French for TEA)

I couldn't resist this super pretty apron (with pockets!!) there is even a matching oven mitt, Mothers Day isn't all that far away........

Similarly these pretty tea towels make great gifts

Interesting glass jars and bottles are everywhere in magazines at the moment, these bud vase milk bottles are less than $5 each and don't require an entire bunch of flowers to fill... just a head or two and you'll have a fabulously cheerful decoration for your window sill, bedside, bathroom etc or group them... there are endless possibilities!

The union jack theme is still present, this throw is perfect for adding colour to a bed, or would make a complete cover for a single bed.

And finally our Easter Window, spotted and flowery egg tins huddle in nests awaiting their new families, great for filling with chocolate (or non-chocolate) goodies.

And lastly, but no less lovingly, his and hers Easter Bunnies for the Kids amongst us (and big Kids!)
So that's us up to date... if you haven't already done so, please check out our home styling projects on the right and keep an eye out for our Wedding Event pictures coming soon! (yes soon, I promise!)
Regards,
Julia.

Christmas in store.....

Jingle bells just oooozeee christmas and if shiny silver isnt your thing, then theres these fabulous earthy rusty ones......

These white glass baubles are just stunning, they are surprisingly tough (I accidentally dropped one and it bounced!) I dont think I'd have the same luck with the small white glass doves.... they are very delicate, but if you like bird decorations they are a must. We also have them in ribbed red glass.

I thought this green spotty bauble was a bit of fun and very festive. The large pink glass ribbed heart is oh so pretty and really doesnt have to be Christmas, I'd leave this one out all year round.

Birds and fruit are two popular decoration themes this year, and in contrast to the many glass decorations we have, these acrylic apple and bird dangles are very user friendly, not to mention sweet.

Speaking of sweet, these bloated little glass mercury glass birds are perfect for a small tabletop tree.

Just for something different, we dabbled in a few pastels this season....

But red is always a Christmas classic, making these dainty ribbed red glass birds hard to resist.

Made locally, Jodi calls this soy wax candle "Christmas" but after burning one on our counter, we think it should be called "Gingerbread" or "Plum Pudding" because it smells so fabulous it kinda makes you hungry... We have the jar candles and bags of 12 tea lights candles available.

These red reindeer table runners will add christmas cheer to your table, why not run them from side to side accross the table (as pictured) and set two place settings on it.

Gold and Silver sequin birds that clip onto your tree, each is handmade and so slightly different in the tilt of the head, the number of sequins and the shape of the beak, which makes them really special.

Everyone needs a ham bag at christmas! Assuming that you eat ham of course!! We followed a fabulous Donna Hay recipe last year from her christmas magazine that involved Quince paste (we used Maggie Beers) so I will be needing one of these this year.

I love wreaths that incorporate fruit, they are festive but also useable all year round. Another favourite hanging above the bed are our LED light wreaths (3 shown hung together) I love fairy lights in general but this wreath takes it up a notch by being able to be hung horizontally. It looks amazing hug low over a christmas table and you can take it one step further by hanging baubles from pretty ribbons underneath.

We have stocked clear glass baubles with glass angels inside for a few years now, this year we added a reindeer to the mix. They make fabulous gifts for special people in your life.
And finally its not christmas without seeing stockings hanging from a mantle.

New into store over the last week or so, these rectangular jugs are sure to be a hit, great as a water jug or fruitjuice jug perfectly sized for two...The chunky glass candle sticks are just crying out for a mantle to sit on this Christmas....And blue hydrangeas are just another of my favourite things...........

These beautiful silver photo frames are a fine metal filagree and are very very special. So to is the matching clock, we think they'd make a sweet gift for someone special.

Clear acrylic handles cuttlery sets are back by popular demand, they'll look great with pretty much any table setting. Although they do need to be handwashed we think they're worth the effort! The white ruffle napkin is pure linen and just gorgeous, for that little touch of luxury they are worth the indulgence.

Hand carved african animals are back in. We have hippos, rhino's, elephants, and giraffes. They are just so adorable you cant help but want to pat them every time you walk past.

The painting is by Adelaide Artist Brook Miles, I've always liked it, but it wasnt until we put it up near the window that its taken on a whole new life, the light really plays with the gold background and makes it a really interesting piece....
We will be lauching our Christmas stock  in store as of  This Saturday (the 5th of November). We will be closed all day Friday so we can set it up and make sure it's looking festive. So apologies in advance if you wanted to head in on Friday.......... but we promise it'll be worth the wait! I will post pictures once its all in place so stay tuned....

New things.....

After a crazy week of unpacking we are still knee deep in boxes of Christmas Stock.... It is truely scary how quickly Christmas comes around each year, but dont worry, I refuse to put them on the floor until the begining of November! We have been unpacking some other gorgeous things too...
These bird soap dishes are really sweet and always fly out the door............

We finally have more pink roses back in store, fresh and pretty pink roses on mass are always a show stopper, I can imagine these on a hallway table to welcome you home....

This cast iron daschound boot scraper is not only useful as a boot scraper, he'd work equally well as a door stop. Ever popular with dog lovers we just think hes super cute!

We have new birdie teatowels in chacoal (pictured) also green, aqua and latte, they make a lovelly little gift. Also new are the postcode placemats, for that touch of industrial chic, they come as a set of 4 and are cork backed, so could also work well as a serving mat for the middle of your table.

Ok, I know I said I dont release Christmas stock until November, but I can't resist giving you a sneak peak of some of the gorgeous decorations we have rolling in. This has to be the cutest advent calander I've seen to date, you just want to hug him..and you can!

These angel dolls  are actually meant to be a hanging decoration, but we think they make beautiful tree toppers. She'd also make a lovely "babys first christmas" gift. So too would the white timber rocking horse. I have a thing for jingle bell wreaths, so when I saw these small rusty ones, we just had to order them. They also come in silver. The two ornaments hanging in the tree arent so clear in the photo , but they are clear acrylic hanging stars with clear acrylic birds and apples hanging underneath. Delicate and pretty but not as fragile as they look, I predict these will sell out quickly....
Enough teasing, back to the unpacking.....
